​Rebecca Jayne Gilbert Photographer and artist

Rebecca Jayne Gilbert is an aspiring young British artist and photographer; she is currently in her 2nd year of Fine Art studies at the University of Lincoln.

 

Rebecca's work focuses on experiences and emotions that she feels she knows about like depression for example, a subject that as a sufferer both fascinates and inspires her work. Although her work is based on a fairly deep subject matter that could easily be made to look depressing, Rebecca tries to focus on the positives of mental illness, such as the recovery and the improvement in emotions. This is shown by hiding the true meaning of the work by making beautiful images with paint, photography and resin, or all of these things combined together.
